“It’s our way of giving back,” said Rose Marie Beauchemin, the Founder and Director of Education of the Beau Institute of Permanent and Corrective Cosmetics and Creator of the Beau National Day of Hope. “The Day of Hope is a time where other practitioners and I will be working on breast cancer survivors that have had mastectomies and have not completed the process of the nipple and areola tattooing.

“So many women who undergo such traumatic surgery and treatments [for breast cancer] choose to end the process once they’re healthy, because they simply can’t handle one more thing. They’re in need of the areola tattooing, and are possibly without a nipple graft, so we will tattoo a three-dimensional nipple and areola to create a totally realistic effect and to help them feel complete. They will once again be able to experience their senses of wholeness and beauty in femininity.”

This year the institute is also working with Hearts United Against Cancer and Mother’s Matter to ensure their message of hope is spread nationwide to serve others.

Hearts United Against Cancer focuses on uniting hearts to deliver comfort and support to Men, Women, and children fighting cancer. Their mission is to deliver care and comfort bundles to men, women, and children going through cancer treatment for all types of Cancer.

Mother’s Matter empowers, assists and delights mothers and grandmothers of South Jersey via a donation and distribution of personal care and beauty items. Their mission is to encourage mothers to achieve economically and educationally and to seek brighter futures for themselves and their families.

The Beau Institute is apermanent makeup center and training institute, was found more than two decades ago.
