The Alice Paul Institute is asking the public to come together for a celebration of Women’s Equality Day, the 96th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment, which granted women the right to vote.

The celebration will take place Friday, Aug. 26, with an open house at Paulsdale, the birthplace of suffragist Alice Paul, from 5:30 -7:30 p.m.

The open house celebration will also provide a viewing of the “Alice Paul: In Pursuit of Ordinary Equality” exhibit and an opportunity for guests to make their own sundae.

The event is free, but registration for the movie is required. Call (856) 231–1885 or e-mail info@alicepaul.org. Donations are welcome.

The Alice Paul Institute’s mission is to honor the legacy of Alice Paul’s work for gender equality through education and leadership development.
